DART WARS RULES 2013

1.)  You may not shoot someone anywhere on school grounds, their place of worship, or at any practice/club activities involved with the school. This also includes club sport practices. HOWEVER, if you are not involved with the sport/club and it is being held outside of Indian Hill Schools, you may be shot. This includes parking lot. You can get shot at team meals. Team bonding does not count as a sporting event.

2.)  You may not shoot someone at their trainer or place that they workout at. You may not shoot someone at their workplace/internship. This includes parking lot.

3.)   CARS: If you are not driving the car, you may be shot at any time. If you are driving the car, you may only be shot/shoot someone if the car is NOT moving. ALL others in the car may be shot/shoot people when the car is moving.

4.)  You may not force entry into anyone’s house to make a kill. You are only allowed into an opponent’s house if somebody who is welcome to be there lets you in.

5.)  If a parent/family member of the opponent’s property asks you to leave the premises, you must do so immediately.

6.)  MARK TOLER RULE: you may not use any tear gas, flash grenades, concussion grenades, smoke bombs, booby-traps, or anything that resembles such items to make a kill.

7.)  THONG RULE: You are invincible while wearing a thong and nothing else. However you may not shoot while just wearing a thong. When you put on any other article of clothing along with the thong you are free to shoot or be shot by an opponent.

8.)  Dodgeball Rule: If you catch a dart WITH YOUR HAND shot by your opponent BEFORE IT HITS YOUR BODY, they are OUT and someone on your team that was out is now BACK IN. No deflections, just a straight up snag. If you drop it, you are OUT.

9.)  You may only kill someone by shooting a nerf gun, pipe, or catching a dart. No gas powered or pressurized weapons allowed. No shields allowed. If you are out you may not shield your teammates.  If a dart hits someone’s gun/pipe while they are holding it, they are out.

 

10. You may not use physical violence of any kind to make a kill.

11. You may not break into an opponent’s car to steal guns, however if the car is unlocked you may steal guns, but they must be returned to the owner at the end of the week.

12. Controversial shootings will be viewed upon by my discretion. They will most likely be handled by coin flip unless they are absolutely ridiculous claims. Excessive arguing just makes me want to go against your opinion.

13. Rounds are held Monday 12:00am to Sunday 12:00am. If you are shot, you are out for the entire round, including shootouts. If the round is not decided by then, shootouts will be held at Stephan field on Sunday. You must notify me and the other team of any substitutions for the week/shootout.

14. AT THE SHOOTOUT: time of shootout will be determined by the teams involved. You may not hide in the bathrooms for more than 15 minutes. You may not leave Stephan Field at any time of the shootout. Only teammates may pick up darts/hold guns. Thongs may be used at shootouts.

15. The school is not responsible for any of your actions, injuries, and illegal activity that occurs during darts wars, and neither am I. This is not a school function. If something happens, it is YOUR problem. No one forced you to play.

16.)ALL Money collected will be distributed:

 70% 1^st place, 20% 2^nd place, 10% commissioner.

 

17.) Each team will have 5 people (IH Students only), with each person paying $10. Give the money to your team captain and pay me all $50 at one time or I will not accept it. All money must be given to me by 1:35pm on March 22^nd (Friday before spring break). If it is not in by this time, you will not play.

18.) Bracket will be decided by random draw and will be posted on March 23^rd. Dart wars begins Monday April 1^st at 12:00am
